Liz and Tim’s Wedding

Their wedding was a small seaside wedding late in the afternoon in Kailua-Kona with their family and some close friends. There was great light to photograph in, which made for beautiful pictures. Liz and Tim were a lot of fun to photograph and their images reflect their love. I like to photograph couples that have a vision of what they want for their pictures. It allows me to create images they have imagined. What fun!

Catie Ann and Ben Wedding Photos

Catie Ann and Ben

I have been a friend with the Medeiros family since coming to Hilo in 2008. It was a pleasure to photograph Catie Ann and Ben’s wedding at our church, New Hope Christian Fellowship. The day presented some challenges with near constant rain and many guests in attendance. After the traditional church pictures, God blessed us with a break in the rain and some sunshine so we could do garden pictures before the reception. They are a fun couple and we had a good time together.

Child Photos – Arianie

Arianie

I had the privilege of photographing Arianie at 10 months for her 1year party announcement. Mom and Dad are planning a big party for her 1year birthday! She looked great in her blue denim dress. It was fun to see her various expressions and enjoy her sweet spirit.

Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historic Park.

The couple is Brian and Aychn. They were married January 24, 2011 at the City of Refuge, Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historic Park. The park has beautiful white sand and black lava rock and is about an hour below Kailua-Kona. Their ceremony was just before sunset on the beach. The minister was Dard Aller. The bride’s bouquet was of pink roses and white orchids. Following a short ceremony we did pictures as the sun appeared and gave us a colorful sunset as it sank into the sea. I was thrilled with the pictures! They were such a loving couple and naturals at relaxing and posing ideas.

Larissa and Jesse – Royal Kona Resort

Larissa and Jesse were married January 7, 2011 in Kailua-Kona at the Royal Kona Resort. This day brought a light rain to the ceremony time. The guest had to cover up while the bride and groom were under the gazebo for their ceremony. Following the ceremony we used the cover of the Resort to take pictures. The sun broke through the clouds for about 5 minutes to give a great orange/red glow. We all had a fine time in spite of the rain.
